We are off out for the day tomorrow on a jolly jaunt with a special friend of ours (Gertie) - and as I was getting things ready I thought how colourful my table was looking - messy but colourful. After the last few dreich days this was just what I needed.
Some beautiful merino hanks I was unexpectedly gifted which are now transforming into my next project - I know I said I would wait until the light was better to take pictures but it hasn't improved any so I just turned on the camera's flash instead......
Granny squares and oblong shapes - little splashes of colour making my heart sing.
Aah, time to stop playing and finish getting ready for tomorrow - I am so-oo excited and I know I am not the only one! I am taking my camera (and crochet of course) and will share our day with you soon! And so not to keep you on tenterhooks here is a little clue.
Lovely chatting to you all xxxxx

Ooh sounds like you are going to have a fun day! I followed the link and had laugh out loud
ReplyDeleteI like the look of your crochet - what are you making?!?!!
ReplyDeleteTulips are great this time of the year for a splash of colour

I can tell that you are VERY excited. I love the colors in your yarn, and your squares look perfect. I love to crochet too, as you know, but am not nearly as good as you. I don't really know the specific stitches per se -- I just try to do what I think needs to be done to make what I want to make. I really should go to Youtube and learn some specific stitches. Nevertheless I still love doing it. I truly cannot imagine just "sitting" in front of the TV or chatting without having something in my hands to do. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteooh! can't wait to see your piccies - enjoy :)
ReplyDeletelove the colours of your yarn. must learn to crochet one day, and knit too.
Jan - I am, I am, I am, I am!! Will tell all as soon as we are home :)
ReplyDeletenarkymarkey - I love those colours too - in good light they are quite jewel like - I am enjoying working with them :)
