Arty Hearts and and thank you ღ °•

We had wandered around lovely gardens and information centre. The tea room had called and we obligingly listened, stuffing our faces with cream scones and tea. Feeling replete we wandered into a pottery come art gallery and saw an array of heart covered thrown pots and platters.....oooh love love love (until I saw the price). I wish I could afford more hand crafted goodies as I do love them so. I asked the potter if he minded if I took a photo and he kindly allowed me.

While I was choosing this gorgeous platter for my picture my boys were secretly buying these for me - Am I lucky or what!

I have lucky enough to be awarded The Versatile Blogger Award by SusanD1408 - Crochet Addict

Photobucket

And according to the rules I have to pass on the award to other bloggers and share some random things about myself.
I have decided to award to the quieter blogs that I read as I feel that they need the recognition that they deserve as they gently record their days and their crafting.

  1. Elf Sufficent Sara who's a wife, mum, animal lover, trying to downsize and be self sufficient. She says she is ok at sewing but I have bought a little purse from her and it is gorgeous! Her mantra is 'just be yourself and be happy.
  2. Harry Radish Bean - Radish's Mum does beautiful crochet work and has an eye for a bargain and for art.
  3. Threads through my Life - a dear friend who keeps her blog to herself but I am lucky enough to be allowed to dip into her day. She does the most gorgeous quilting and patchwork. Only recently returning to crochet she is now a demon crocheter making blankets and toys galore for my Kyōyū kyōyū - share blog
  4. Narkeymarkey's blog - She say's of herself -  Hi, I’m Tracy and am now scarily-close to being 40! Originally from London, I’ve lived in Glasgow and the Isle of Lewis and have now settled in Perth (Scotland, not Oz!). I have a part-time day job in an office and in my spare time I design, make and sell felt items as fatcat felt. When I’m not working or felting I love to be outdoors, whether it’s camping, walking, canoeing, birdwatching, cycling, or working in our fruit and veg garden.
  5. A life of Felt Another dear friend who is a wonderful feltmaker and tutor.
  6. "ook?!"  A potter, gardener, baker, cyclist and mum (chaser of four grown up offspring) A woman with inner strength and beauty.
  7. Last but not in the slightest least is Slightly Smaller Footprints - a friend  I have made through blogging - who is trying to downsize, grow her own vegetables and this year is trying out '52 new things' - ranging from baking to trying out new vegetables.

And Random Stuff About Me....

  1. I love to have my toe nails painted (in different colours) and wear a toe ring at all times (including during surgery last week when I was supposed to remove ALL JEWELLERY!!)
  2. Although I am left handed to the extreme, there are certain things I only ever do with my right hand.
  3. I hate being cold and wrap up warmly but must have fresh air at all times
  4. I was born in  Africa
  5. Our house is like being in the United Nations. I am from Zimbabwe, Himself was born in Lancashire, Eldest in South Africa and Youngest in Yorkshire - talk about north south divide and the war of the roses!!
  6. I am and have been vegetarian since I was 21
  7. I Love crochet (love love love) but this next week while recuperating I am going to re-learn to knit and strangely enough - I am very excited!!
