I'm so glad you popped in, I'll put the kettle on and you grab yourself a chair - a good a time as any to stop for a brew. Enjoy...

Just one of those wonderful weekends

I suppose we all measure our happiness differently, each person having their own determined zenith. These last couple of days certainly reached my standard for an all round really good weekend!

Saturday...............................

coffee in bed
breakfast in the sun
gardening all day
sandwiches on the lawn
packing a spontaneous picnic, heading for the hills
eating homity pie and flying kites in a glorious orange blue sky
watching the sun go down
lighting the fire and curling up on the settee and crocheting

************************************

Sunday...............................

sleep in
woken with coffee
breakfast in the sun
packing sandwiches and a flask of tea
finding the dog lead and lacing on walking boots
heading for the hills
crochet on the move
Boys off to Granny and Bumpa for sleep-over
Us - a grown up meal in a pub

**************************************

Monday...............................

And you? Was your weekend wonderful? I truly hope so :)

Now, must stop waffling and procrastinating, with all our lovely weekend wanderings nothing sensible was done, off to do Monday mundane chores - *yay*

  1. We enjoyed the sun this weekend too. There is nothing more fun then getting out for family walk in the countryside!

  6. Fabulous sunset picture! Thanks for sharing them with us.

Have made 16 of the 20 squares needed for the baby blanket; whilst I'd love to chat more my hook is calling.

  7. Looks and sounds fabulous...my kind of weekend. Sadly I spent most of a very warm and sunny Saturday inside a noise, hot and crowded Wacky Warehouse where boy was attending birthday party. Grrr. Oh and I LOVE homity pie xx

  8. Thank you all! Yes it has been wonderful weather.

Andrea - we too have suffered the delights of a wacky warehouse - my sympathies,

Lovely Lady - you've been busy, hope you been taking photos!

Looks like there is a dedicated homity pie following out there :)
