I'm so glad you popped in, I'll put the kettle on and you grab yourself a chair - a good a time as any to stop for a brew. Enjoy...

And...did you see it??

My front garden............what do you see?
Weeds? Yes, weeds -  in particular those two dandelions bottom left?
Look again....what else do you see?
The distinct lack of colour but the beginnings of life. (That was a hint...)

See what I am trying to show you?
Yes - well done you!!
oh - sorry was that a no?
Ok, more help needed.

See it now?

Need another and better visual clue?

How about this one.................

Aah, village life.

Just must remember to ask the window cleaner to leave the front of the house this week, don't want to disturb  progress! Hope I am around when they hatch, **thinks against a 24 hour vigil with camera** It's lovely to see the double take on people's faces as they walk by :)

  1. Now I wonder if this is the duck that has been in my garden for a few weeks with a male friend. It looks very similar..... and I have have not seen her for a few days now....

I was wondering where she might nest and you won!

  2. Morning - there are a few around the village sporting the white bib, but seeing how - as the duck files - close we are, it probably is the same one :)

  3. oh lucky, lucky you! you must have created the perfect haven for her to feel at home in.

took me ages to notice the dandelions in the first pic - my plans for gardening are so far behind that i've 're-programmed' myself not to see weeds!

  4. Ah ha! I have also had the same programming re: weed avoidal, but in this case I was hoping to draw your eye to said dandelions and away from the nesting duck!

  5. A duck nesting in the garden! - the best ever excuse not to weed out those dandelions! Given her a name yet? :>) xx

  6. Mummy Duck seems to have found herself a lovely cosy corner there - do keep us updated.

Weeds? Weeds? Some people see weeds, others see free tortoise fodder!

  7. When we used to guinea pig 'sit' we never had dandelions either - as they love them too :)
