Baking:
At this very moment I am baking buns for Youngest's fund raising at school for Red Nose Day, the kitchen is wall to wall with chocolate buns in various stages of completion. When the boys come home tonight we will have a marathon icing session - oh the mess the mess!
I love, love, love these silicone baking cases, the colours are really cheery and bright.

Mmmmmm..........I can just smell the chocolate. Seeing your silicone bun cases reminds me....you may remember I was given some for Christmas and love using them. But I have now found another use for them...poaching eggs! Works like a dream. I put the smallest amount of low calory spray in each one, an egg then put in small frying pan with lid. Voila lovely serated edged poached eggs - and much cheaper than the real thing!
ReplyDeleteI love the colour of these cases too. Are they as good as people say? Can't wait to hear what you've come up with for Japan.
ReplyDeleteRe-reading my comment I think I should have said I put water in the frying pan and then poach as usual.
ReplyDeleteJak - the whole house smells so chocolatey, and what a good idea re: egg poachers.
ReplyDeleteAngela - they are brilliant! the buns just fell out and when I chucked the silicone cases into the washing up water, all I had to do was to swish them and they came clean instantly.
Hmmm, chocolate my favourite. I too will get some silicone baking cases; glad they wash easily!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if there will be any buns left over for next week's KnK???
Yummy!!! Send the left overs to me!!!
ReplyDeleteI want some of those silicone cups. Your Leek and Potato recipe sounds wonder!
My Bill does all our cooking so I know where Himself was coming from...on the nights he says "Let's just have cereal", my hollow leg gets really worried too. Have a wonderful weekend!
i love your shadow pic!
ReplyDeleteyummy buns too :) i must try those new-fangled silicone thingies, much greener than one use paper cases.
look forward to seeing what you've got planned ...
