It only took four??!
Are you sure?
Was that all?
The evidence was there, yes, it was only 4.... The proof was in the pudding or rather in the bag.....
It only took FOUR ORANGES to stretch my bag from a reasonably vest sized item measuring about 35cm (just over a foot) to a WHOPPING 78CM (2"7').
No wonder the bag/vest/fishing net was dragging on the ground.........................
A. Pre-orange induced situation with turquoise coloured inspiration (yes yes it does look a tiny bit like a vest - but humour me please!)
B. and C. Still 'bag-shaped' but still empty
D. Now with added oranges and feeling a little stretched....
C. Base of bag in line with my feet....well actually resting on the floor
E. My haven't you grown.....................
*sigh*
Well - that's my confession out - my disaster revealed - hope it made you laugh too (my ears are still ringing at the chortling and merriment I have caused this week). But it has spurred me on to try again - just you wait you lot, just you wait!!
Yours in crochet madness - hawthorn xxxxxxxxxxx
(the sounds of manic laughter can just be heard in fading into the back ground)
PS - thank you for all your lovely comments I have received recently - they are delightful to read and I still get such a buzz when I see that I have 'comments awaiting moderation', woo hoo!
Have yourselves a lovely tipping day (coz Wednesday tips you towards the weekend) and enjoy doing what ever you are doing =^.,.^=

That has really made me chuckle this morning, its great cause its a much needed chuckle......Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteKaren :D
LOL :-) Bless - What a shame - maybe you could use it as a dirty washing bag?
ReplyDeleteHx
I needed a giggle, thank you :-)
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the preview in the previous posting, I guessed what would happen; that open stitch is very mobile! Can I suggest you do not use this stitch for swimwear (just in case you were thinking of doing something...)
ReplyDelete*laughs* Oh, that's not ideal! At least it started out looking good though ;)
ReplyDeleteStopping over from Creative Friday. THe same thing happened to me! I use it as my laundry bag now, and just pretend I intended it to be that way!
ReplyDeleteThe post was funny enough, but Lovely Lady's comment almost made me choke on my coffee!
ReplyDeleteWell, yes - my favorite thing - spending a great deal of time only to find a disaster on my hands. But I suppose the laughter is worth it. So sorry - maybe you can go elephant shopping now?
ReplyDeleteThat would make an excellent - if a little lacy swimming cozzy! Just like lovely lady said - be careful wearing it
ReplyDeleteHe He He - like wot lovly lady said, carefull when swimming
ReplyDeleteFunny, it will come in handy for pumpkin shopping! I wonder how many pumpkins it will hold? On the other hand, it will be perfect for your yoga mat or to tote a blanket to the beach.
