An aged hedge tree reclining at the field's edge
Eldest lost in thought whilst the breeze ruffles his hair
Ancient bridleway, deep and worn but still used and loved
The delicate scent of the bluebell filled woods wafting through our senses
The infectious giggle as a delighted Youngest hurls the ball for giddy dog
A feeling of slight sadness for my lost youth
but untold pleasure at being able to share the boys' childhood
The inbuilt comic genius that certain sheep are blessed with.....
The sun on my face as I stare down to the village
These were just some brief moments in my weekend,
hope your weekend was as laughter filled and sunshine warmed as mine.

What a glorious looking weekend - you picture of that daft sheep had me smiling for ages!

Cat - thank you - it was a good weekend, and that sheep - it just made me smile too!
ReplyDeleteSarah - why thank you kindly!
welcome to Holistic Mama!
ReplyDeletebtw, the views don't need to be inspirational, just real life. :)
We see a future England bowler in that action!! Loved the silly sheep too. Made us smile. :>) xx
ReplyDeleteMon - thank you, glad to be there! I know what you mean about the views, I firmly believe that life can be inspirational :)
ReplyDeleteJak - ummm - the pose for the future little bowler may look authentic, but the random direction the ball went was a little too-oo random really!!
Hawthorn, you had a wonderful weekend! It's so obvious in your beautiful pictures. I love the look of your new blog -- bigger pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the picture of your son sitting on the fence. That's a place where I would love to have been this weekend. The path also brings me to places in my imagination -- very good, calm, peaceful places.
Things got a bit too hectic for me with the graduation, moving my daughter back home and moving my son back home, all in a very short period of time.
I had a "mini" meltdown. I do believe that I'm almost back to 100% now, but it took a while.
It would have helped if my husband were able to hear me complaining (haha).
Thank you for voting for me!

Can you tell I'm nervous? I talk way too much when I'm stressed!
Jan - (((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))) back, and fingers crossed for your keepsake box

ReplyDeleteColouritgreen - Thank you - I was just looking at your garden photo thinking how full it was looking, being further north, our garden is bit behind, but today's sunshine will have really woken it up!
