- Did you see that woman knitting at Wimbledon? Well done her - more power to her knitting needles!
- This must have been the greyest, wettest, dullest most disappointing start to a summer E*V*E*R!.
- Weather like this quashes all creativity.
- Need something cheerful to brighten my day and get my crafting groove back on......
- Fancy trying these out? I do.

- Found this pattern (a free download on Ravelry), think I can feel a bit'o knittin' coming on!
- Work stressful?
- Kids impersonating a whirlwind?
- Weather getting you down?
- Vacuum cleaner on a sabbatical and carpet looking like it has done three rounds with Mike Tyson?
- If you have answered yes to 1, 2, 3 and/or 4 - this is the antidote you need :)

- So, going to join me? If you do, let me know and we can link up.
- Ah, feeling better already.....just need to do something about the serious shortage of sunshine !

The house has gone to the dogs, the washing pile is breeding and I'd love to join in if you can suggest a crochet pattern. You may also have given me another idea
ReplyDeleteIf I can crochet one (or more) then I will join in..... Worst summer for at least 6 years! Even my vacuum cleaner has gone into hiding, it is so depressed!
ReplyDeleteYay! A KAL! Yes I really fancy doing a KAL.... BUT I'm totally obsessing about doing my Mara shawl and I don't think Ive got time for another project :( We should have KALed our Boneyards :D
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the woman knitting at Wimbledon. What a knitty heroine!

I have gripped the nettle or whatever the saying is and decided to get my google settings sorted, so hope I can make a long overdue comment here. I'd love to do a KAL as that bunting is gorgeous but absolutely daren't start another project (currently got 5 on the go .... hurry up summer holidays!) Hating this weather, too :(
ReplyDeleteManaging to do a bit of gardening between showers but really fed up with the weather. I now feel encouraged when the weather is 'brighter grey' as opposed to 'dull grey' or 'rain'!! :>)xx
ReplyDeletePS Did see woman knitting at Wimbledon and also thought it a good idea and could see us doing it. She could start a trend. A good way to fill in time during the rain breaks too. As usual there were twits on twitter who were critical about it. :>)xx
ReplyDeletegetting fed up of the wetness here too. The occasional dry day is not enough!!
ReplyDeleteBravo! is what I say to that gal at Wimbledon.....great photo and I hadn't seen it before. I am going to think of this photo and carry on every-time I get weird glances when I'm crocheting away at the docs, dentist and quite a few other places where I have to waste my time waiting! I'd do a KAL too with you but I don't know how to knit although my dear sister tried to teach me several times...I must definitely have crochet roots in my genes and also must finish a shawl, heat pack and doll that I am doing or rather trying to finish...I also have orders, not the commercial ones, from family members that I have to complete too. There's never a dull moment!
ReplyDeleteI keep telling everyone you're going to get the sun soon very soon...'cos today our weatherman said there is a cold front coming in over Spain and where do you think the heats going to go then? Do please make it very welcome.
I LOVE HOMEMADE BREAD !
Keep well
Amanda :-)
